Rolando Estevez Jordan (1953-2023), Cuban poet, book artist, and set designer, cofounded the publishing collective Ediciones Vigia in 1985. By the time he left in 2014 to start Ediciones El Fortin, the press had produced more than 500 books -- and is still going strong another ten years later. Handmade in Cuba is the first book devoted to the history and output of this singular publishing phenomenon.
