The first edition of the author’s influential debut novel, which was brought back into print first by the University of Wisconsin Press in 2004, and again by Semiotext(e) in 2021. Bellamy revives a minor character from Bram Stoker’s Dracula and imagines her as an independent woman living in San Francisco in the 1980s. This copy is warmly inscribed by the author to artist Fran Herndon (“You've been an inspiration”), a close friend and associate through Fran’s long working relationship with Bellamy’s partner Kevin Killian.
