Fifty-five poems by twenty-seven poets, primarily from the post-1965 generation little known in English, but including a few (now) well-known figures such as Herbert, Rozewicz, and Szymborska. The editors worked closely on the English versions with a group of Polish translators at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.
