First printing. 592 pp., 7 x 9.25 inches. Quarter purple suede and printed paper over boards, with inset leather spine label lettered in gilt, top edge gilt, in printed dust-jacket. With a photographic frontispiece depicting the authors on camels before the Sphinx and Pyramid of Khafre. A near-fine copy, with just a touch of sunning to the edges of the leather, in a good-plus jacket, with a few small losses and sunning to the spine. Many pages still uncut. Much nicer than usually encountered, and quite scarce in any sort of jacket. Item #4759
