Text and reproductions printed by Draeger Freres, and original lithographs by Mourlot Freres. Tiny stains to top edge near spine, light wear to edges of boards, a stray ink mark to edge of one page, and a slight sag of the text block (typical for a heavy book of this sort), otherwise very good and internally about fine, in a very good jacket with wear and very small losses at the crown and foot of the spine, not affecting the jacket lithograph. A solid copy of Volume II of the six-volume comprehensive catalogue of the prolific and celebrated lithographic work of Marc Chagall, with an introductory essay and catalogue notes by the great printer/publisher Fernand Mourlot. In addition to the chronologically arranged reproductions, the book contains eleven full-page original lithographs (twelve, counting the lithographic dust-jacket). This English-language version is less commonly encountered than the French and German.
