The first English-language edition of the book that accompanied the 1981 Man Ray exhibition at the Pompidou in Paris, organized by Martin. In addition to the classic images, the book "includes a huge number of photographs that have never been seen before, including portraits of Virginia Woolf and of Antonin Artaud and a large selection of erotic pictures."
