Photographs by Randal Ford of Austin musician Joe Ely's collection of signs purchased from homeless people, paired with portraits of (other) homeless people by Michael O'Brien, and a foreword by Ely discussing both his own homelessness and his purchases of the signs. A precursor to the more recent (and more widely reported) projects of artists Andres Serrano and Willie Baronet, who also purchased signs.
