David Rattray, who died in 1993 at the age of 56, was widely known for his translations from Antonin Artaud, René Crevel, Roger Gilbert-Lecomte, and many others. This collection is the only accessible edition of his own stunning poems. The trade edition consisted of 1000 copies in wrappers, and the projected deluxe edition of twenty-six lettered copies was never completed, leaving this as the only limited edition.
